How we verify DA Signal's NSW DA data
We verify every claim against a named primary source opened on the check date. The DA monitoring guidance is compiled from public sources, principally the PlanningAlerts API across 29 councils, and the filtering methodology is reviewed monthly. Standing claims on this site were last re-checked on 2026-10-05.
Where does the DA data come from?
- NSW Planning Portal DA records, via the PlanningAlerts API
- Council DA trackers, for the records the API does not carry
How often is the data checked?
Briefs cite the source record at send time. The filtering methodology is reviewed monthly, and the site's standing claims are re-checked whenever a source changes its coverage.
What "[verified YYYY-MM-DD]" means
A tag of [verified 2026-10-04] means the cited primary source was opened on that date and the section was confirmed to say what the guide says it says. It does not promise the source has not changed since: the date tells you how fresh the confirmation is.
What don't we do?
- We do not give legal, tax, or financial advice.
- We do not invent clause numbers: anything in the guide must be findable in the source text.
- We do not promise the law will not change: when it does, the guide is updated.
